Change my email for Facebook
Your e-mail is your key to access your Facebook account and it is used for all communications, as an example notifications that someone messaged you or that a user visited your account from a different computer system is sent to your mail. If you do not have access to this primary email any longer you will not obtain those notifications and communication, unless you change the email on Facebook.
Changing Your Facebook Email Address.
You could just alter your email address on Facebook if you can still log in to Facebook. To do this, log in and locate the Account link at the top right edge of the screen. Click Account and afterwards on Account Establishing under the Context Menu.
Locate Email under the Setups tab, then click the Adjustment link on the right of the choice. Your email address is listed on that screen.
A drop down selection similar to the one shown on the screenshot below will be displayed on the exact same web page when you click on the adjustment button.
All e-mail addresses linked to your Facebook account are listed here. If the other e-mail address that you intend to use on Facebook is currently listed, you just have to pick it.
This makes the chosen email address your primary email on Facebook.
If the e-mail is not there, you should just enter it under New Contact Email and click the Add New Email switch.
You will be asked to enter your Facebook password to confirm the change. If you put in the appropriate password, a verification email is sent to the new e-mail address. It includes a confirmation web link that you should click to verify that you have access to the email address. If clicking does not work, another effective method is to copy and paste the web link in the email to your web browser to activate it.
Facebook then sends a second e-mail to the current e-mail address. This contains info that a new e-mail address is about to be added to the account. This email has a web link to terminate the procedure, so that the new email address is not attributed to your Facebook account.
If new email notifications are not included as the primary e-mail by default. You need to return to Setups > Email to choose the new email address under Get in touch with Email. A click on Change Call Email opens up the password punctual once again where you require to get in the Facebook password again to validate the change.
The selected email must currently be shown as the main email on Facebook.
