Beware Of The Phony ‘FOLLOWING ME’ List On Facebook: Maybe you recently logged in
to your Facebook account and you noticed some messages circulating about people
following or not following you list, it is fake.
Go to your account setup then
into “blocking” which is on the left-hand side, if you input “following me” in
the blocked users search bar, you will be surprised at the numbers of people
following you, but don’t be deceived, like I said, it is fake.
You may want to ask the question that “who are
they?” or “why are they following you?” But they are definitely not following
you neither are you following them, if you want to know how they got there,
then read further.
When you input the word
“following me” at the blocked users search bar expecting to see the list of
your blocked users, Facebook don’t usually show you that using the search bar,
instead, Facebook put random users with name, nicknames or database information
relating to the words “following” and “me”.
Everyone that has anything
related to this two words are enlisted in the search result and the inquisitive
beings that sees this list always goes further to message everyone on the list
with the above questions, who they are and why they are following you.
A friend of my once told me
that she decided to change her nickname on facebook to “follow me” and see if
she would get any message regarding the following me list. I believed you
already guessed what happened, she got hundreds of messages from unknown
individuals, some going to the extreme of using the F word just to piss her off,
some even asked if she could send a pics of her boobs and other unreasonable
chats.
After experiencing hundreds of
messages flooding your inbox and the power of facebook scam, this might change
your view on social media and some others are forced to remove their account
because it is uncontrollable. But the best thing to do in such situation is to
search for data with “following” or “me” attached and try to remove the words
or better still, change it to a synonymous word.
